“Roger Fisher” Contributes Song to Solveig & Stevie Zombie Lover EP

June 20, 2014, Seattle, WA – Now available for free download on NoiseTrade, the eight song debut EP Zombie Lover from duo Solveig & Stevie blends elements of folk and pop built on a heritage steeped in 80s power pop. The two Pacific Northwest music veterans, Solveig Whittle and Stevie Adamek, have teamed up to produce an eclectic album with rap, electronics and rock incorporated seamlessly into a single electrifying recording.

Founding member of HEART and member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Roger Fisher, has contributed a bonus track to the EP. The song, Master of My Day, written by Fisher, was recorded and produced by Fisher with Whittle and Adamek in 2010, but has not been released before to the public. Fisher shows off his versatility and sensitivity in Master of My Day, with a soaring guitar solo that evokes the soulfulness of early Heart tracks.

“It’s amazing how the music industry has changed,” said Fisher. “Yet collaborating with friends to create songs with real emotion remains the essence of the business.”
Fisher and Adamek have known each other since the late 1970s. They first crossed paths at Seattle West Studios, where Heart, was recording tracks for the iconic Dog & Butterfly album. Adamek also contributed to Fisher’s song, Dear Friend (2012) from Fisher’s newest solo project, All Told.

“Roger is the person who first introduced me to Solveig,” said Adamek, “He asked me to come in and play drums on a cover of his song Master of My Day. Rogerand I had such a great experience working together on Dear Friend, of course I said yes. Solveig and I have been creating music together ever since.”

Whittle and Adamek have come together from two different worlds. Adamek has held record contracts and performed with a variety of bands over the years, including Scepter Records (See Band) and Columbia/CBS (Bighorn). As a member of Bighorn, Adamek toured with acts such as Journey, Van Halen and Boston. He has written about his touring experience with these bands and the lessons he learned on the road for websites such as VanHalenRadio.com, RockConfidential.com, MelodicRock.com,DigitalTourBus.com and Bravewords.com. He was also the lead writer for The Allies, an iconic but short-lived Seattle punk band. Solveig’s background is in folk and pop, performing in multiple bands and founding a local folk band, Shades of Red. Solveig is a recognized leader in music marketing. Her articles have been published by sites such as HypeBot.com, DottedMusic.com, GoGirlsMusic.com and RapRehab.com.

Solveig & Stevie’s Zombie Lover EP is available for purchase through iTunes and all other major music outlets. The Master of My Day single with Fisher is available for a limited time only via a free Noisetrade download as a free bonus track at https://noisetrade.com/solveigandstevie/zombie-lover
